Information
Small school, Big benefits
The Gold Coast School of Supernatural Ministry is an Australian school following the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry curriculum, connecting the student community both on-campus and online via the Gold Coast based Creative Hearts Centre.
GCSSM is a private learning facility committed to developing excellence and leadership with a particular focus for creative people. Our students are passionate about pursuing their God-given calling, determined to naturally walk in the supernatural, intentional about living in their authentic identity, and willing to take risks with love, honour and compassion.
GCSSM offers a unique blended learning combination of face-to-face small group training, practical intensives and online tutorials, all in a relaxed casual learning environment.
The Supernatural School and Creative Arts curriculum is structured in part-time and short intensive blocks that enables students to continue in employment if necessary whilst pursuing a deeper intimacy with God. Creative Arts students are enabled to complete professional preparation, encouraged to produce a creative major work to a commercial standard of excellence, and equipped to enjoy a successful Christ-centred life.

In addition, the accredited Cert IV or Diploma in a choice of vocational pathways is offered both part-time and full-time, with online study assisted by Creative Hearts facilitators. It is enrolled in separately and offers Fee-Help to approved students. It is possible to study both SSM and Cert/or Dip concurrently.
This course is also suitable as a Gap Year alternative as it provides an entry qualification for employment, or a pathway to continue in Higher Education. Upon completion of the Diploma of Ministry/Leadership, students will attain one year of credit towards a Bachelor Degree.
Leadership For A Better World

As we help you discover your calling and unlock your giftings you will be encouraged and trained to walk in a culture of honour. You will carry the presence of Heaven everywhere you go to transform your home, community, city and nation. You will take Jesus out of church and into community where people are living their everyday lives.
On your transformational journey, you will:
- Discover your true identity in Christ
- Learn the creativity that is your birthright
- Develop a “heaven-lens” and see as God sees
- Gain wisdom through understanding God’s Word
- Participate in co-creating with God
- Become an architect of hope for your generation
- Transform injustices with creative solutions
- Consummate a deeper intimacy with God and love for other people
- Engage with your local community and disciple people naturally
GCSSM is for the courageous!
It is designed to produce people who will transform the culture of our society. It is an acutely full and fast-paced time of learning and students are expected to be proactive about their own transformation.
We emphasize a “catch and do” training experience, and not academic understanding for its own sake. What you learn is as much, or more, about what you absorb in the spirit as what you comprehend with your mind.
You will need to invest time and energy beyond classroom hours. Reading is a large part of the curriculum, as is serving your local community in your own local church ministry. GCSSM fully supports the local church and is invested in students growing in their local church ministry.
This course is not for new Christians still finding their way out of worldly entanglements. It is a ministry leadership course for those called to serve the body of Christ.
However, we are thoroughly dedicated to your success, so while studying with GCSSM is an intense commitment, be assured that you are not alone. Your tutors will help you every step of the way.

School Structure
The GCSSM culture is focused on personal transformation in the presence of God, aiming for the supernatural to become natural. The atmosphere of the school is built around this culture with blended learning activities in small, informal class groups. The non-traditional teaching style is relaxed and the venue style is creatively comfortable. The Supernatural course is a ministry leadership course.
GCSSM and Creative Arts course delivery is facilitated by a combination of the Bethel BSSM online platform; Class online conferencing; and on-campus with Bethel alumni; local and international guest speakers; guest WorldChangers Church staff and/or team members; and specialist guest tutors who are presently ministering in their own calling with excellence. Face-to-face coaching is provided daily by your Creative Hearts facilitators, Andrew Smith and Wendy Manzo, focused on individualized learning outcomes tailored to your specific calling.
Accredited Certificate and Diploma course delivery is facilitated by Alphacrucis College via online learning platform, and mentoring provided by your Creative Hearts facilitators, equipping leaders for careers of influence. Named for ‘Alphacrucis’, the brightest star at the foot of the Southern Cross Constellation, it shares the GCSSM mission to equip Christian leaders to shine brightly and change the world.
Reaching deeper into the heart of God through worship is a high priority at GCSSM and your primary worship expression is woven into each day as a lifestyle. Each on-campus class begins with student-led worship, alongside shared testimonies and time to reflect and embrace your God-journey.

Accreditation
As we are often asked about accreditation for the Bethel curriculum, it is worth repeating accreditation information for clarity.
Firstly, at GCSSM we facilitate accreditation by also offering a Diploma in Ministry (Leadership) through Alphacrucis College, which may be studied concurrently with the Bethel curriculum. If a student wishes to pursue a formal career in ministry, the Diploma of Ministry is fully accredited, Austudy and Fee-Help approved, and also accepted as course credit toward a Degree in Ministry and Theology.
Secondly, as BSSM is not an accredited degree-granting educational organisation with the State of California, it is therefore also not is it recognised as meeting Australian national Diploma requirements. The academic instruction at BSSM is unique because it is taught by experienced apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. Primarily the teaching is through the fathers of the Bethel house, staff members and alumni. Students will learn how to read, understand, and “action” the Bible, how to practice His presence, to witness, heal the sick, prophesy, preach, pray, cast out demons and much more that enables them to enjoy a successful Christian life. The quality of the experience of the student’s connection with the Holy Spirit is often more valuable in a lifestyle of following Jesus than academic accreditation.
At GCSSM we provide a combination of classroom-based instruction and oversee students’ computer online learning, via video access into the BSSM auditoriums. Upon graduation of the GCSSM course, students will earn a Certificate of Completion which serves as a validation to future ministry employers.
To be eligible for a Certificate of Completion students will have completed the academic, attendance, financial requirements and spiritual tasks for the year with integrity and honour. Students must have completed all assignments satisfactorily, paid their tuition in full, been absent less than 20% of class time, and demonstrated consistent Godly character. Only those who successfully complete the First Year program will be considered for the Second Year program.
